Position: Assistant Director Service Delivery Lead

Experience: 11-15 Years

Work Location- Bangalore

Essential Functions of the Job

Engineering Lead :

- Provide inspired leadership for the organization.

- Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision.

- Make important policy, planning, and strategy decisions.

- Develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures.

- Assist HR with recruiting when necessary.

- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.

- Oversee budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing.

- Work with senior stakeholders.

- Work with the Key Stakeholders to determine values and mission, and plan for short and long-term goals.

- Identify and address problems and opportunities for the company.

- Build alliances and partnerships with other cross functional towers.

- Support worker communication with the management team.

- Directs research and evaluation of the feasibility of any new technologies that may improve the products

- Makes recommendations for the investment portfolio to deliver new product features and deploy the product

- Partners with the PMO, GDS support team, Service Adoption and the Service Desk teams to prepare business change material and drive product industrialization.

- Adheres to firm's Devops, Agile Transformation and ITIL methodologies

- Maintain effective and consistent communication with teammates, peers and the leadership team

- Work with vendors, evaluate performance and provide leadership view to improve

- Cost optimisation with various automation, innovation initiatives

- Build strong relationship with stakeholders including Business relationship Managers, executive leaders

- Build Strong intake process for all Projects, Programs and New technologies

- Execution of project and end to end governance of all the Project/Program

- Analyse, Measure and enhance Customer experience with optimised cost efficiency

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- 10+ years' experience in an Engineering and leadership role working in a large, distributed global infrastructure in a hands-on Technical and Management Role.

- Experience in management, operations, and leadership.

- Understanding of general finance and budgeting

- Adapts personal communication style to the style of others, develops rapport and stays calm under pressure or escalating issues using advanced oral and written English communication skills.

- Strong verbal and written skills including strong cross-cultural communication and the ability to draft effective communications

- Ability to work with people in a variety of cultures, countries and time zones

- Experience working with physical, virtualized and cloud server/network infrastructure

- Good understanding of the technical aspects

- Must have a strong knowledge of large scale-enterprise environments

- Should have experience in handling executive leaders including CIO's and Directors and above

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

- Ability to act very independently with full ownership of systems

- Ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly

- Flexible to multiple demands with the ability to shift priorities with strong multi-tasking capabilities

- Ability to analyze and provide solutions to complex issues within an enterprise environment

- Ability scope work accurately, delivering projects on time in a highly-complex, matrixed work environment

- Ability to work with Director level staff with diplomacy and confidence

- Strong ability to stay on task, prioritizing work, delegating effectively, driving work to completion

Other Requirements:

In general, there is a work shift model for our team with our colleagues around the world working on the same environments around the clock. Working in a global IT organization serving such a large environment requires flexibility in working hours when major operational issues arise or where business conditions demand it. We are a multi-cultural team and to be successful you must be able to learn, adapt and succeed regardless of geography. It is expected that you will be organized, have good writing skills and the ability to create and maintain documentation for the supported environments. You are also expected to know how to work in an ITIL-based environment and that you are very comfortable with incidents, service requests, change orders, problem tickets, etc. Potential on call requirements for production support, especially during new system launches or major service issues. Creating and maintaining documentation for supported environments as well as following proofed ITIL processes.

The role may require minimum travel, participate in workshops and available in US business hours

Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor Engineering or Science discipline

Experience:

Approximately 10+ years of experience in a comparable Technical/leadership role.

The following certifications are beneficial, not required.

- MCSE: Core Infrastructure

- Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals

- PMP

- SIAM professional

- Devops Engineer
