Assistant Director/Director - Decision Science - eCommerce - PhD

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement various types of predictive models, machine learning, Optimization, and mathematical modeling to help create disproportionate business impact.

- Work with analytics, business and product teams to identify critical business problems to solve

- Independently ideate, conceptualize, develop and deploy machine learning and statistics/optimization solutions for these business problems

- Demonstrate execution excellence, insightful technical thought-leadership, high impact team management and strong engagement at senior executive levels.

- Mentor a deeply technical team of Analytics professionals, Statisticians, Text Mining and Decision Sciences professionals and provide business and technical guidance to them

- Demonstrate technical depth and thought leadership in areas of machine learning, statistics, optimization, and mathematical modeling through invited talks and peer-reviewed publications

- Act as a Principal who analyses and develops enterprise-wide analytics solutions. Leads in the technical assessment and delivery of specific technical capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 10+ years of overall experience in building and being part of Machine Learning and Data Sciences teams

- Advanced degree (Preferably a Ph.D.) in Statistics/Mathematics/Economics/Computer Science or any quantitative domain.

- Excellent analytical abilities: Data driven with attention to details. Proficient in quantitative analysis, statistical/data science techniques.

- Strong business focus. Must excel at connecting business requirements to data mining objectives and to measurable business benefit.

- Expertise in several data Sciences techniques such as classification, clustering, matrix factorization, optimization, graphical models, topic modeling, deep learning and NLP.

- Has demonstrated innovation and communication of new deliverables and offerings.

- Has demonstrated the ability to lead others in the gathering of requirements, designs, plans, and estimates.

- Peer-reviewed publications in predictive analytics/statistics/OR/other quantitative areas are a plus.
