Assistant Director - Accounts Payable - CA

Purpose of the Job :

Primary duties and responsibilities :

- Manage the vendor payments (domestic and foreign currency payments), including appropriate accounting of withholding tax and service tax

- Manage employee reimbursements (business expense claims, travel etc), including controlling related policies, compliances thereof and taxation.

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities :

- Accounting and settlement of vendor invoices as well as employer reimbursement claims is the main activity and the key responsibility will be to meet expectations of the stakeholders and improve the user satisfaction levels.

- Responsibilities include review of internal controls and making continuous improvements to the same.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements :

- Experience in Corporate Finance activities of an Organization, with good working knowledge indirect / indirect taxes, foreign currency payments, and compliances with regard to STP / SEZ units

- Transaction processing role (back office support / BPO) is not sufficient

- Good communication skills as the role requires communication with various business and finance teams within and external EY offices

Supervision Responsibilities :

- Team management of around 20 members located in various centers in India

- Provide leadership to the team and guidance on processes, instructions and guidance on various accounting matters, implementation of new techniques, developing process efficiency, etc.

- Need to be a team player and good with coordination with other groups within finance organization

Other Requirements :

- In depth knowledge of Accounting and need to be a smart Accountant

- Experience working in a MNC environment

- Attention to details is a must

- High on integrity

- Good in thought Leadership and strategic Planning

- Good coordination skills as the role involves working continuously with various customer and vendor representatives, procurement function, supplier representatives (on a need basis), finance teams within customer groups and peers within local finance organization

- There could be some travel across all centers in India. However, it is not expected to be frequent.

Job Requirements :

Education : Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of relevant experience

Experience :

- Experience of having worked in a corporate Finance team of a MNC in India with relevant experience in handling the AP/AR functions, including appropriate tax knowledge and experience.
