Our client, MNC FMCG / Healthcare Company, Is looking for the following;   Position Title :Assistant Controller - Supply Chain Finance  Location : Mumbai   Reporting To : Business Controller  Role and Responsibilities:  - Leads the finance and commercial MIS function with respect to operations side of the business. Overall is the finance face of operations. Prepares and monitors the financial KPI's of operations which includes industrial, procurement and supply chain.  - Analyze business operations (Industrial, procurement and logistics) trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future expenses and to provide advice based on such analysis.  - Reviews operational efficiency in each of the areas and suggests improvement.  - Setting regular reporting framework of all Operational costs and assisting in budget, business plan preparation and capturing the actual operational costs. Analyzing variances and challenging the reasons for the variance and contributing towards increasing profitability.  Main Duties and Functions:  - Identify and monitor (vis a vis Budget and forecast) key cost drivers in Industrial, procurement and supply chain and advice in time to best control or get best value for the costs.  - Coordination and working closely with the Operations team on evaluating co-packers financially and assisting in negotiating best rates considering industry, existing factory costs - commitments, wastages, CAPEX, paybacks, cost to market comparisons of different options to select the best option with the right timing.  - Preparing and reviewing CAPEX and OPEX initiatives at co-packers and in the value chain and monitoring the same to ensure it is within budget and monthly reporting of the spend and accounting support where required. Consolidation and comparison of the same with the factory costs by closely working with the factory counterpart.  - Review cost of inventory, supply chain and procurement costs in depth to ensure completeness and also understand the nature of fixed and variable. To also animate the impact on account of changes in the key drivers.  - Setting policies, procedures and governance and best practices on the operations side.  Inventory:   - Valuation of inventory at the month end as per the accounting policies  - Conduct surprise physical verification of inventories at Contract packers, Warehousing locations  - Ensure physical and book stocks are reconciled periodically.  Education Background : CA or MBA in Finance (preferably from a Tier 1 College)   Should have worked for Food & Beverages / Nutritional Healthcare or FMCG Companies
