I. JOB DETAILS
Position Title: Head of Finance
Location: Chennai
- Managing all the Finance activities for the company including supervision of the Accounts/Tax function. Responsible for business planning, Mergers & Acquisition, fund raising - both debt and equity and other strategic initiatives.
- Support the growth of group companies being incubated through strategic collaborations and continuous comprehensive process improvements.
III. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
1. Oversee and manage all income and expense related accounting including MIS and analysis
2. Build relationships for debt funding and interact with lenders to negotiate key commercial terms in company's interest; Follow up to ensure all-time compliance of debt covenants
3. Effective Treasury management to maximise yield on treasury funds and minimise cost of carry, where applicable.
4. Overwiew of vendor management and payments process including review of vendor agreements and performance
5. Review and monitor all tax related matters - Direct and Indirect taxes. Coordinate with tax consultants for various taxation matters relating to assessments and appeals and ensure rigorous implementation to minimise tax outflows and maximise tax refunds
6. Handle statutory, tax and internal audits as per the audit schedule. Manage all audit queries and making course correction where required for Holding company and group companies
7. Build detailed business plans in consultation with business heads . Provide dynamic support to ever changing liquidity. Requirements at the Holding company.
8. Manage regulatory and other compliances and ensuring that all statutes and laws and adhered to without exception
9. Prepare and review the monthly MIS to be presented to the management with advanced analytics and pointers for focussed action
10. Compare budget on a monthly basis with the actual expenses and analyse the reasons for the variance, if any.
11. Management and reporting of working capital and funds status on a periodic basis
12. Prepare and review financial statements including consolidated financial statements prepared on periodic basis
13. Overview of internal audit processes and internal controls with pro-active process improvements as well as zero tolerance for repeat observations across Holdings and other group companies.
14. Overview of payroll process for all employees of Holdings and group companies
15. Hire, train and manage a team of skilled F&A executives
16. Assist the CFO in all other strategic matters including but not limited to strategic acquisitions, Due diligences,Valuations,etc
