About the role: We are seeking a senior assessment specialist to join the Learning Outcomes team. The Learning Outcomes team is set up as a center of excellence. By joining this team, you would be working on cutting edge assessment practices and you would be a pioneer in designing how the Ed-tech industry at large can drive student learning outcomes growth. It is a technical role that requires expertise in assessment design. Job Description

- Provide leadership regarding effective models and systems for evaluation and assessment of different programs.

- Design frameworks to define learning outcomes in different contexts and work with subject matter experts to define learning outcomes for different programs

- Identify effective assessment tools and methodologies to measure learning outcomes through summative and formative assessments (in-class, pre-class and post-class)

- Design assessment blueprint for various assessment instruments

- Develop evaluation rubrics for different assessment tools by working with measurement experts

- Drive assessment instrument development by working with subject matter experts (SMEs)

- Develop proficiency scales by working with measurement experts and SMEs

- Design learning outcome reports for different stakeholders by working with visual designers

- Collaborate with technology and product teams to develop scalable assessment solutions

- Manage assessment projects including design, development, administration, analysis, and reporting

Skills/Experience Required

- Minimum 10 years of overall experience with atleast 5 years of experience in the education sector

- Atleast 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and implementing large scale assessment systems to measure learning outcomes in K-12 sector

- Experience in implementing Item Response Theory (IRT) based assessment and measurement models

- Experience in qualitative and quantitative educational data collection and analysis; data management and analysis; measurement theories; and survey design, development, validity, and reliability.

- Knowledge of current issues in learning outcome growth and its measurement in K-12 sector

- Strong project management skills

- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, including strong report writing skills

Qualification: Phd, Master's or bachelor's degree in education, statistics, economics, public policy, or engineering with relevant experience in learning outcome assessments and educational measurements. Required years of work experience is flexible based on relevance of your work experience and educational qualification.
