Area Manager- Sales (Defence Channel)

We are Urgently looking for Area Manager (Sales)- Defence Channel for a leading Life Insurance company.

The purpose of this role is to help establish a strong and differentiated Defence Sales channel in the assigned geography- Provide leadership to the units (reporting into this role) - and achieve business results through effective translation of the business strategy into action.

Eligibility:-

- Preference 1: 3-4 yrs in Insurance/financial sales exp + defence background.

- Preference 2: 3-4 yrs in Sales background ,any industry + defence background

- Preference 3: 7-14 yrs of defence experience (ex- servicemen)

- Preference 4: Insurance Sales + history of adaptability to new business avenues.

- Preference 5: Pure defence family background (current serving personnel).

Job Profile:-

- As per current structure and strength, the incumbent will manage a team size of 9 direct reports (Associate Partner/ Partner/ Managing Partner) and a total team of ~ 50-60 Sales Managers. (Excluding Officer Praharis and Advisors.)

- Taking care area Operation of (Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ambala, Pathankot, Patiala, Bhatinda, Ferozpur and Shimla.

- Plan and evaluate the effectiveness of Area Operation Plans with specific focus towards product availability, distribution and activity management within Defence network.

- Facilitate the business planning and implementation process for each branch towards the business in Defence establishments/ battalions.

- Effective leadership for Branch Managers/ Office Heads

- Ensure cost efficiency in all aspects with specific focus towards Officer Prahri and SM hiring and optimize
the cost of recruitment

- The incumbent will receive support form HO and field based support functions like Regional Operations; Regional HR and Regional Capability development teams.

Base location would be at Jalandhar and salary may go upto Rs. 14 lakhs/Annum.
