Head of Technology- Dhaka - Gazipur factory (Bangladesh) Role Description: - Technology Head is responsible for R&amp;D and QC needs of the Unit. This role reports in to the Unit Head and is expected to work closely with the Unit Head in achieving the objectives of the Unit. The Tech Head is also expected to work closely with Head of Operations, Factory Head, Sales and Marketing at APBL and with CTC, to ensure that technology, processes and systems of the Unit are aligned with Company and Group requirements. Primary Responsibilities: - Product development and bench marking with competitor products. - Assess the requirement of improvement in existing product and realize the same. Guide the team to finalize formulation and conduct successful trials at customer end. - Provide formulation efficiency and use up slow moving RM/FG. - Work on development of in house emulsion manufacturing as a part of the New Factory project - Management of RMs Approvals of new RM based on the observations made by Technical team. Liase with vendors for new RM requirement and approvals. Rationalization of RM's with alternate RM's. - Ensure that Customer complaints are addressed and resolved on time. - Provide support to Technical Service personnel and sales for products - site visits, recommend painting system, investigate and if necessary supervise the painting process etc. - Provide samples/panels and color support to sales person for successful approval from client - Manage quality control team and set up systems to ensure proper quality control of manufactured products. - Support sales team for projects. Also provides sales teams training on products and complaint handling - Liase with external parties for analyzing and solving problems related to application of products - Support to process control team for process up gradation Qualifications: - M.Sc/PG in Chemistry or B.Tech - Paints/Polymers from reputed institute - Previous Experience: Experience of 6-8 years in Paints
