Role Identifier  Job Title : Management Trainee Finance   Department : Corporate Finance  Reporting to ; Chief Manager- Finance   Grade MT  Jobs Reporting Into:Executive / Officer - Finance   Location/Unit Vakola, Mumbai  Role Description  Job Purpose  - Treasury and Forex management  - Financial performance review on various businesses  - Economic research and data analysis to assist decision making in the area of financial planning / budgeting  Primary Responsibilities  Business Responsibility Areas : (Please detail out at least 8-10 responsibility areas) Key Performance Indicators  Treasury management:  - Manage surplus funds  - Initiate the growth of resources in the domestic & international market   Forex management :  - Monitor forex exposures  Hedge the forex risks and report the same   Financial performance review :  - Analysis of key financial parameters for various businesses - sales, overheads, employee cost, capital deployment efficiency  - Asses detailed profitability and impact of various pricing conditions  Economic research and data analysis for supporting decision making:  - Prepare reports on competitor analysis - domestic as well as global players   - Economic research on relevant parameters that potentially drive the coatings industry  Level of idle balances in accounts  Returns generated on surplus funds with measure of degree of risk taken  Funding rates for borrowings  Adhere to timelines for finalizing borrowing requirements  Variance of hedge rates with planned rates  Accuracy of exposure data  Adhere to timelines  Rigor of performance reviews   Rigor / depth of data analysis  Adhere to timelines  Level of initiative taken  Scope of Work  a) Financial Scope (Range of financial spend): - 10 lacs (mainly travel and reimbursement)  b) People Management Scope (Range of no. of Direct/ Indirect Reports):1 direct (Executive / Officer)  c) Geography Coverage (Country-wide/ State-wide / Area-wide):APL group covering financial performance review and review for all subsidiaries, JVs and business, raising of funds  d) Corporate Coverage (Company-wide / Business Unit or Function-wide / Sub-function-wide / Other): - Corporate Finance covering financial review for the group  Key Interactions  Internal   - Business Finance Manager/ CFO of subsidiary  - Plant: all levels including Plant account manager and Senior Manager- Engineering and ManTech  - Sales Commercial Hierarchy- all levels  - Marketing- Commercial and Marketing managers, GM  - Supply Chain- all levels  - Corporate Finance, tax, Accounts, Secretarial, Legal etc.  External   - Treasury advisory, mutual funds, banks / financial institutions  Role Requirements / Specifications  Qualifications Essential  - MBA Finance - 2016 BATCH ONLY  Desired  - Commerce / Engineering background  Functional Competencies   - Financial analysis   - Macro economy understanding  - Excel, Power point  Behavioral Competencies  - Team work  - Ability to challenge the proposals and assumptions  - Ability to handle complex business database and report modelling
