Role Description :

Job Purpose :

- Leading research projects assigned on time to time on polymerization processing technology driven development activities effectively, for project deliveries on time

Primary Responsibilities :

- Business Responsibility Areas

Key Performance Indicators :

1) Lead researchers and methodically conduct experiments for process development and establishing a process.

2) Strive to observe and interpret results during polymer process development and communicate the same effectively.

3) Knowledge generation through prior art search

4) Maintain proper documentation related to projects.

5) Adherence to 5S, related safety norms and ISO standards of the organization

6) Work on strategic business outcomes of the organization and ensure timeliness are met as per promise

1) Project deliveries with committed timelines

2) Number of technical reports, articles, Invention disclosures, Patents

3) Number of new process concepts introduced and proven in the form of prototypes

4) Participation in safety audits, instrument calibrations and maintenance and conducting risk assessments or regular activities

5) Working on CAPEX proposals

With reporting manager, peers, cross functional subject experts, internal stakeholders, administration

External : Vendors, Manufacturing Plants, Engineering function

Role Requirements / Specifications :

Qualifications :

ESSENTIAL :

- M.E/M.Tech (Chemical Engineering) with relevant experiences in Process engineering

- Well acquainted with computer basics for Data analysis and preparing technical reports

- Process control

DESIRED :

- Skillful to streamline process, design experiments, reproduce and scale-up to pilot level

- Ability to interpret process data for designing for formulations

- Having worked with polymerization technologies

Previous Experience :

ESSENTIAL :

- Hands on relevant experience in similar roles/responsibilities

- Communications in the form of technical reports

DESIRED :

- M E /MTech- 5+ Years industrial/R&D experience in relevant field

Functional Competencies :

- Process Engineering knowledge on Emulsion polymers, Paints

- Heat transfer, fluid flow mechanisms, mass balance equations for co-relations

- Energy saving calculations. Strategic thinker with the ability to improve efficiencies by assessing and enhancing company processes.
