Purpose - Purpose of this role is to develop and efficiently manage the Sales & Distribution Network, Market Coverage, Performance of the Region and Team etc. We expect the Area Sales Managers to lead by example by being proactively involved in the day to day functioning of the sales team and to be fully committed to the achievement of the goals set. The ASM is responsible end to end, right from setting sales goals to training and supporting teams in order to help them achieve those goals. Job Responsibilities - Develop an overall business plan including sales strategies and profit goals. This includes performing territory and sales analyses, distribution gap assessments and then reviewing the results and adjusting sales strategies accordingly. - Often requiring travel, the Area Sales Managers visit protocol includes meeting with potential and current channel partners/outlets to provide product information, answer client questions and concerns, build brand awareness and providing support to the sales team in that region. - Establishing and managing the distributor infrastructure, maintaining, and expanding distribution width & depth, Servicing the needs of existing customers. Collecting customer and market feedback and reporting the same to the organization - Monitoring sales team performance, Financial Hygiene (Credit, claims etc.), analysing sales data, periodical forecasting and reporting to Sales Head.
