Position title - Area Sales Manager

Internal Stakeholders - Sales team & order entry Team in Beijing, Sales & Marketing Director.

Business Unit of one of the leading safety, health and environmental technology group.

External stakeholders - Customers in South/ North / West/ East China, Decision maker (architects, specifier, associations etc.), distributors in India

Reports to Sales and Marketing Director Asia

The India hub is based in Mumbai.

It is one of the first companies in the world to come up with sensors specially aimed at opening and making automatic doors safe in commercial and industrial applications. It is one of the first companies to launch a Doppler microwave radar specially adapted for automatic doors.

Position Objective :

To develop new and existing market in India for sensors for semi-automatic/automatic doors and for other industrial applications.

Responsibilities

- To drive sales targets pan India for Auto door customers in India.

- To develop existing/new /prospective markets in the Auto door industry

- To organize trainings for internal customers (sales/technical team) to develop their know how about our sensors.

- To push safety programs/actions to raise the safety awareness on the auto door market

- To explore and develop sales in key markets for diversification in India (Security, escalators, transport, people counting, industrial doors, gates, barriers, Traffic, etc.)

- To meet existing customers, system integrators, end-users to collect market information and improve know how about diversification business in India.

- To develop technical understanding of all company products as well as the competitors’ products.

- To develop new contacts and the customer base in the defined markets company decides to develop. Prospection is a key task

- To involve in Intensive and efficient communication with the technical support, PM, and the application engineer to discuss product support/ new product development.

Requirements

- Strong technology background .Understands detail about the different sensor technologies (radar, LZR, Infrared, inductive, others)

Related experience in selling in a capital goods industry

Good understanding of the building industry (if possible the door industry)

Other Industries that could be targeted :

- Automatic door industry

- Industrial door industry

- Platform screen doors

- Gates and barriers

Education

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.

Experience - Minimum of 4 to 5 years of direct selling experience to key accounts of construction or industrial fields.

Competencies

- Fluent English in written and verbal.

- Strong sales and negotiating skills.

- Experienced with long cycle sales, and building strong long-lasting customer relations

- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills

- Knows how to work with Word, Excel, PPT etc
