Area Sales Manager Job Description : 1. Relationship management - Maintain excellent trade relations with key dealers & dealer network - Resolution of dealer complaints/ grievances 2. Dealer Servicing & Engagement - Ensuring Dealer Servicing Norms are followed in terms of timely order serviceability, credit period, settlement of schemes/gifts & damage - Execution of Loyalty Schemes like chairman club & other DRM modules - Key Dealer program execution & Performance 3. Channel Strength (Healthy Distribution) - Width of dealer network through execution of Periphery Module & dealer activation - Depth within dealer network through Range Selling, demand generation etc 4. Retail Visibility & Merchandizing - Execution of Retail Visibility module (wherever applicable) - Liquidation and effective utilization of LSP/POP in market as per LSP Policy 5. Exception Dealer Management - Effective RCA & Action Planning for Exception Dealers (Disconnected, Degrowing, Disgruntled) - WSS/ PBP Appointment & Working a. Responsible for selection and appointment of the WSS b. Identify the expanding markets & plan for effective coverage c. Continuously identify gaps in distribution/WSS and fill in distribution gaps d. Ensuring Viable Investment of WSS in Business (SASH, Market Outstanding, Infrastructure) - WSS/ PBP Induction, Training & Discontinuation a. Ensure Induction & Training for new WSS is carried out as per process b. Timely completion of FFS process for discontinued WSS c. Driving WSS Scorecard - WSS/ PBP Compliance to SPPBMs a. Ensure WSSs service the market as per dealer servicing norms b. WSSs adherence to the compliance criteria with respect to: 1. Regular Darpan Synch 2. Timely Invoicing 3. Giving out Darpan Bill to Market 4. Submission of no claim confirmation & balance confirmation - WSS/ PBP Compliance to Commercial policies a. Effective planning for WSS in watch & Critical b. Working with WSS who regularly defaults on payment to streamline payments c. Intervene in case of noncompliance to any of the commercial policies of the WSS example: SD maintenance, NACH, PDC etc." - Learning & Development of Team a. R&R and SPPBM Induction & training to the TSI/TSRs b. Coach TSI/ TSR to enhance performance by regular joint market working, DRCP Planning, identifying improvement areas and giving constructive feedback etc. c. Career planning of all team members including preparing them for DC & working together on DC feedback d. SPPBM Expertise: Gain detailed understanding on SPPBMs rand execute them as per requirements - Performance Management & Assessment of Team a. Providing assessment clarity to TSIs b. Implementation of Performance-Improvement-Plan, as per process wherever necessary c. Managing temporary manpower gaps and actively participating in hiring for any TSI/ TSR TTY gap d. Driving TSI/TSR Scorecards
