Area Manager (Paints)
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for developing the sales function within their respective area and geography. The key work deliverables include:
- Acting as the company's representative for various stakeholders.
- Collaborating closely with Contractors & Retailers to establish and strengthen the Paints brand.
- Maintaining a consistent pipeline of customers.
- Managing key dealers, understanding dealer behavior, converting competition dealers, and driving growth at dealer counters.
- Creating monthly plans, including territory-wise and dealer-wise planning, security deposit planning, new dealer appointment plans, and predefined journey planning for Territory Leaders.
- Understanding policies, schemes, incentives, and conducting overdue analysis.
- Analyzing the forecasting process, allocating stock from RDC to CFA, and maximizing stocks.
- Identifying category-wise potential and growth opportunities, planning category-wise promotions, organizing customer meets, and increasing market share.
- Providing consultation on painting solutions for project sites and identifying business opportunities.
- Strategizing for depot geography in both short-term and long-term perspectives.
- Analyzing area-level data to identify gaps and initiating necessary initiatives.
- Expanding the overall sustainable sales potential in the area by exploring and opening new clients.
- Conducting market mapping and providing reliable information on the business ecosystem, customers, areas, and competition to management.
- Monitoring and acting upon competitor activities in the region for the company's benefit.
- Creating plans to achieve assigned business objectives for the depot on a monthly level and working towards achieving targets within the budget.
- Implementing project-specific initiatives and schemes.
- Providing effective and timely solutions to clients' problems to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Ensuring material and services availability through coordination with other functions.
- Guiding and supporting the frontline team.
Candidate Profile:
Educational & Work Experience:
- Full Time PGDBM / MBA from a reputed institute with 10-12 years of experience in Retail Sales, Decorative Paints, Building Dealer & Contractor Network, Sales, Business Development, etc.
- Demonstrated experience and success in the Sales function with an extensive network in the required geography.
- Experience in team handling (on-rolls employee).
