Area Manager - Sales & Marketing - General Insurance

MISSION :

You are responsible for the set up and development of a worldwide cargo/containers insurance sales and marketing programs in your assigned area (India).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You collect, centralize and study requests for insurance quotations provided by our agents on behalf of our customers, within your assigned area.

You provide answers to them, giving them insurance pricing, calculated through the on-line premium quotations tool, made available by our insurance company partner.

You educate/train management and sales people throughout agencies about the products and the selling process. You provide them with commercial, marketing tools which will help them develop cargo insurance sales.

You listen and understand the needs expressed by the sales persons located in Agencies and promote the insurance products, being a force of proposal in order to increase product awareness and development.

You support internally our local Agents in the sales process, in order to give them the necessary selling points which will convince our customers of the added value of such a coverage.

You functional reporting line will be to the Regional Head - Cargo Insurance located at CMA CGM Regional Head office in Hong Kong.

REQUIREMENTS AND SPECIFIC SKILLS :

You possess a post graduate level diploma in Insurance, Business Management or Commercial.

You have ideally at least 5 years of professional experience. Experience in Marine Department of an insurance Broker or Company with active involvement and good exposure of SALES would be an asset.

The Candidate should have undergone requisite training, passed an examination and been duly licensed by IRDA to sell insurance polices

You are perfectly familiar with International cargo insurance terms and conditions.

Your level of English is excellent, and you are a computer literate.

You possess leadership/management and commercial skills, you are rigorous, autonomous, team player, proactive and initiative taker.

Your sense of accuracy and analysis will allow you to succeed in this mission.

Good knowledge of Indian Marine/Cargo Insurance Market (staff/ context).
