The Role: Reporting to the COO, the Head of Business Operations - India will be responsible for the management and execution of the business, both at a strategic and operational level. He/She will be responsible to build and lead a culture of excellence across all corporate functions in India. In this role you will: - Build and lead the business across multiple functions at a strategic and operational level - Build an Operations strategy in alignment with the Business strategy to drive business results. - Manage all operational responsibilities of Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Finance, Accounting, Regulatory Compliance, Logistics, IT, HR, Training and Recruitment - Responsible for the annual budget, financial performance across units and ownership of the P&amp;L for the region. Benchmark and maintain Operational efficiency for the region. - Engage and handle all key stakeholders in the region including regulatory officials, partners, alliances, collaborators, investors, promoters and competitors. - Responsible for technology implementation and creating seamless information flow across the organization. - Responsible for reporting across all metrics to the COO on Financial Performance (Revenue, Gross Margins, EBITDA, Working capital etc) and Operational Performance (Sales coverage, Asset Turnover, Logistics, Turnaround Time) What you Bring to the Table: You are an astute Leader with an Entrepreneurial streak. A strategic thinker with superior business and operational acumen. You are self driven to take initiative, and are comfortable with ambiguity. You have hands-on operational efficiency with an ability to set and follow structure. In a nutshell, we need you to have: - MBA or Masters degree from a reputed educational institution in India. - 10+ years of progressive experience as a Head of Operations at a large enterprise managing a P&amp;L. - Experience scaling a region and managing teams of 200+ cross functional team members and working with global stakeholders. - A good understanding of SaaS and PaaS models with the ability to work in a well funded start-up environment that's on an aggressive growth path - Track record of building high performing teams, defining organizational structure, acquiring and developing talent - A roll-up-their-sleeves approach to the design, development, implementation and measurement of operational excellence - Proficient in using software tools that create and measure KPIs - Excellent critical-thinking and interpersonal skills that lead by example - Demonstrated excellent verbal and written skills; the ability to speak to large groups and lead or facilitate leadership workshops What We Offer: - The opportunity to have an impact on a product that is positively affecting change to thousands of students lives every day - To work with a brilliant and globally diverse team that is the fastest growing in the Waterloo region - Great compensation and benefits package to keep you healthy and happy!
