Job Title: Compliance Manager (Remote position in India)

The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring our organization's adherence to the ever-evolving legal and regulatory landscape within the consumer lending industry in the US. This role involves supporting the implementation of the Compliance Management System (CMS) and associated Compliance Program components. This role will handle the second line of defense activities in Compliance Monitoring and Testing, Compliance Auditing and Control Testing, Management Information System (MIS) reporting, Third-party vendor Risk management and Oversight, Risk assessment, Issue management, Regulatory trainings, Process management and other related activities. The Compliance Manager is also responsible for identifying and addressing compliance gaps. Additionally, this role will participate in relevant training programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state consumer protection regulations, loan servicing policies, and other assigned duties.

You Will:

- Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with clear goals, manage tasks, and set deadlines for your team.

- Supervise, manage, and motivate team members daily.

- Assist in the maintenance and deployment of the company CMS and the Compliance Program components including, but not limited to: Training Curriculum, Complaint Management, Issue Management and Corrective Action, Third Party Risk and Oversight Management, Monitoring and Testing, Auditing and control testing, Risk Assessment, and related activities.

- Identifies and assists in developing monitoring and testing work papers regarding operational areas of risk that may impact compliance and business losses-

- Stay updated on changes in business lines, operational areas, products, and services.

- Evaluate the adequacy of business policies, procedures, training materials, and systems concerning regulatory requirements.

- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend operational best practices.

- Analyze testing results to identify trends/anomalies and suggest potential process enhancements.

- Facilitate departmental compliance training and prepare tracking analysis reports.

- Prepare dashboards, reports, and decks on a periodic basis as part of MIS

- Perform various assigned duties.

Your Profile:

- You are a self-starter with excellent communication skills, excelling at leading and inspiring teams.

- You hold a bachelor's degree in legal studies, Political Science, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- You have 7 to 10 years of financial institution experience with a strong background in Regulatory compliance.

- You have working knowledge of US consumer laws and regulations

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe is essential.

- You possess strong analytical, organizational, and research skills.

- Demonstrated reasoning and critical thinking skills are second nature to you.

- You have a natural lean towards delivering highest quality results

- You can maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

- Project management experience is necessary for working effectively in a high-pressure environment with time constraints.

- Strong writing and presentation skills are required for effective communication with employees and business unit management.

Nice to Have:

- Prior experience in the consumer lending sector is preferred.

- Experience in data mining is a plus.

- While not required, a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification would be beneficial.
