Main Responsibilities / Job Summary :
(Primary deliverables of a role and its scope)
- Driving Business Excellence led initiatives in Manufacturing and Corporate functions
- TQM excellence journey and challenging the Deming prize as applicable
- Monitoring & Reporting of Customer Complaints & related CPA (OEM & APMEA, other than India)
- MIS & Reporting, developing new standards/formats where needed
- Supporting implementation & integration of the quality management system (ISO/IATF related)
- Data analytics along with supporting/driving improvement actions
- Participate in teams for improvement projects in any function as and when needed
- Support/ Develop Standards/Guidelines on BQ/TQM initiatives
- To establish interface across the functions in entire product life cycle so as to meet Customer needs & expectations
- Failed Tyre evaluation at OE or/and Field, as needed
- Plant/Product and/or Process audits at Tyre/Tube Plants, as needed
- Need identification & updating of the IT tools/OE issues portal/APMEA field issue management portal on a periodic basis
Authorities:-
- To resolve, allocate, direct customer complaints about resolution
- To change/alter/revamp the system, processes to meet the organization's need
- To decide the reporting formats for processes, systems
- To highlight/hold/stop any activities, not in the interest of the customer

To drive improvements through QMS/QA and Business Excellence, Insights for various non-manufacturing departments - Sales, Marketing, SCM, Commercial & Export Markets

- Quality performance for all projects/systems as per KPIs
- Quality Standards like ISO / TS 16949, ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000,
- OE issues resolution tracking, MIS & Support Tyre manufacturing process
- Timely reporting of BQ MIS
- TQM excellence status at Plants and Corporate
Skills & Knowledge Requirements (Abilities / Knowledge & Expertise in a field)
Knowledge (Technical / Functional)
- Knowledge of tyre as a product and its mfg. process, & customer specific requirements
- Knowledge of Excel, Power-point, Minitab, etc
- Quality Standards like ISO 9000, ISO / TS 16949, including core tools like FMEA/CP, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP etc.
- 7 QC Tools

- Bachelor of Engineering/ Bachelor of Technology
- MBA in operational Management or Masters in Quality Management (Desirable)
