The Position holder will be primary responsible for :

- Providing clear and inspirational leadership on all academic matter, which includes the development and delivery of the school's academic program consistent with the school's mission, philosophy and goals.

- Overseeing the school's business operations and financial health, promoting student, staff and school expansion & growth, improving brand value and assuring adherence to educational norms and regulations.

This Position shall report to the Board of Trustees and respective School Principals shall report to the CEO

Strategic Responsibilities :

Expansion & Growth :

- Take up expansion projects of building and growing India wide network of K-12 business for the group, under the brand name of Apeejay Schools.

- Provide leadership in guiding the launch of first academic year, developing initial programmatic, staffing, curriculum, and opening procedures of the new school.

- Undertake branding and public relations and marketing efforts for brand building, media relations, meeting enrolment targets and development needs of the School.

- Develop a strategic plan and manage the schools' budget, ensuring financial sustainability and resource allocation.

- Oversee the operations of the group of schools and ensure their academic and financial success.

- Set up systems and procedures in alignment with the vision and mission of the new schools.

Academic Role :

- Undertake responsibility for the overall success of all the existing schools in the region and provide the school community with educational leadership consistent with the School's philosophy and pedagogy.

- Develop institutional goals and objectives consistent with the vision, mission and values of the School.

- Develop curriculum strategies with Principals to support the achievement of the overall school's performance objectives.

- Lead and administer the delivery of high quality educational programs and services, with focus on curriculum planning and review; textbooks and resource material; teaching and learning methodologies and aids; assessment strategies and adoption of industry best practices.

- Ensure educational quality by periodic program evaluations, curriculum upgrades and/or changes based upon the pedagogical vision of the School and as per educational norms.

- Oversee student enrollment and admission, syllabus completion, academic assessment and student progression of every school.

- Ensure that student achievements are appropriately recorded and recognized with student scholarships and awards.

- Ensure a policy of inclusive education, catering to special needs of children apart from mainstream students.

- Ensure that school rules are uniformly observed and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable in accordance with the code of conduct of the school

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations of the CBSE Education Board & Examination Body.

Communication & Liaising Role :

- Establish, develop and maintain effective relationships with officials of the concerned Education Board and other Government departments as required.

- Liaise with CBSE with respect to affiliation work and regarding implementation of all reformative policies, circulars and latest regulations.

- Establish and maintain professional and cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders: parents, students and staff.

- Represent School at public and education forums and attend meetings as required.

- Maintain frequent and regular communications with Student & Parents through newsletter, school website, one-on-one meetings, online platforms etc. as appropriate.

Operational Responsibility :

- Oversee the complete budgeting & operations of all existing schools, their office procedures, methods and practice, formulating and implementing administrative policies

- Recommend priority areas while budget preparation and ensure effective utilization of fund, approved for either program need, estimated enrollment, marketing initiative or overall school development.

- Adhere to budgets and approve expenditures within the authority delegated by the Board of Trustee.

- Determine staffing requirements (academic & administrative) across all the schools in collaboration with School Principals.

- Participate in leadership recruitment & selection process to on-board manpower that have the right technical and personal abilities.

- Ensure monitoring the performance of staff on an on-going basis and administer biannual performance review and performance record maintenance of every staff.

- Establish a positive, healthy and safe work environment across all the schools in accordance with all appropriate legislation and regulations and ensure conducting disciplinary procedure against any misconduct.

- Ensure expanding operations by devising strategies and improving profitability by increasing student strength and enrolments YoY as per the targets of existing schools with equal focus on student retention.

- Review the performance of every School in terms of its fees collection and defaulters reduction as stated in its strategic plans and report progress on the same to the Board of Trustee.
