Metier / Function : Internal Audit Division/Dept : Inspection Generale (- IG- ) Reports to : IG Hub APAC - Country manager for India - based in Mumbai Supervises : Nil Function/Position : APAC generalist auditor Location : Mumbai, India MAIN OBJECTIVES & PURPOSE : 1. To conduct (lead or participate) and report on audit assignments and/or special reviews on banking and financial services business lines as well as Functions in the region; in particular on the Personal Investors business line, which offers Retail Brokerage services in India through BNP Paribas- fully owned company Sharekhan. - To define assignments- scope and develop audit mission methodology for review and clearance. - To lead, coordinate, manage and execute audit assignments and/ or special review within a pre-defined timeframe. - To report and discuss issues with auditees and provide value-added recommendations in order to facilitate business activities in a risk controlled environment. 2. Validate for closure the implementation of recommendations issued by the function. 3. Assist in conducting audit risk assessments and periodic reporting to management and/or Head Office. 4. Support to deliver the annual audit plan and any ad-hoc requests from management, regulators and Head Office. 5. To liaise with the regulators, as and when the need arises, in coordination with local Compliance. JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS : Essential Technical Knowledge/ Skills: - Knowledge on banking and financial services (e.g. corporate credit, consumer credit, wealth management, asset management, securities services, insurance,- ) and / or on Functions (e.g. Accounting, Human Resources, Compliance) - Knowledge on risk management, regulations and compliance matters related to the banking sector in general and more specifically to retail brokerage business and products. - Effective communication skills with good written and spoken English. - Autonomy and self-motivation. - Willing to travel (mainly in India and possibly in Asia Pacific; maximum of 30% travelling). Qualifications and Experience : - University degree required. Other qualifications such as Master degree, CA/PA, CIA, CFSA, or CISA is a plus. - Minimal 4+ years experience in audit, ideally in retail brokerage banking audit. Experience in a big 4 audit firm would be a plus. - Should also have experience in RISK AND process assurance - Internal staff, with no audit experience but with related business knowledge and appropriate personal qualities, is also considered.
