Introduction:

Antwerp Diamond Bank (‘ADB’) is a niche bank, fully dedicated to servicing the global diamond trade and manufacturing.- It has offices in Antwerp, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong and Mumbai and wants to be a global banker of choice for transparent diamond companies.

The focus of ADB’s corporate lending activity is on borrowers that are active in the diamond and diamond jewellery trade or manufacturing activities, with whom ADB keeps or wants to establish a long term relationship, based on the 80 years’ track record in its home market Antwerp (Belgium) and its local value propositions where the Bank is represented.-

The Branch of ADB in Mumbai (‘ADBM’) pursues a strategy of controlled growth in the credit sanctioning and trade finance operations, and aims at increasing its share and visibility in this competitive Indian market.- The Branch is evolving towards offering other services like attracting local INR and FCNR deposits and fast and smooth on line payment services.

ADBM uses FLEXCUBE Universal Banking from Oracle Financial Services as its main banking application and recently migrated to version 11.1.- At the same time, for banking and customer reports and risk monitoring, ADBM is in the process of shifting from Business Objects (‘BO’) to the Oracle Business Intelligence reporting framework (‘OBIEE’).

To strengthen the global team of Organisation & Product Development of ADB in Mumbai for ensuring 1st line support to the end users and responding to specific requirements, ADBM is recruiting an experienced Application Manager / Business Analyst in banking with business experience in FLEXCUBE.

Summary Job Description:

As an experienced Application Manager or Business Analyst in the FLEXCUBE environment the candidate is the mediator between the end-user and the IT (technical) developer.- He/she will be responsible for.-

Business and Functional Analysis in FLEXCUBE and OBIEE:

- Evaluating the user’s service requests and problem tickets raised by the user’s and assisting in describing the requirements for changes and enhancements in Flexcube and development of reports in BI;

- Designing and documenting the process flows of all type of actions and events related to the products used at ADBM;

- Managing the project and high level change requests submitted by the business by applying a well-documented process flow (business request, project order document, business technical solution, testing. Post live support);

- Communicating the new releases to the business and giving adequate support and training to the end-users;

- Preparing and accompanying new implementations and software fixes with setting up test cases and test procedures, defining the test requirements en following up on UATs;

- Providing periodic status updates to senior management and steering committees.

Deployment of the use of OBIEE:

- Identifying and prioritising the required reports for regulatory returns and internal MIS as defined by the users and organise the creation of queries in BI with the technical support of an insourced IT team and the IT team at HO;

- Organising the training for all staff in the use of OBIEE;

- Evaluating existing BI reports used at HO and organise the implementation at ADBM.

Reporting Line:

The Application Manager / Business Analyst reports locally to the CEO of ADBM and globally to the Head of Organisation and Product Development based in Antwerp.

Workplace:

The duties and responsibilities will be performed out of the Mumbai office. The Bank’s premises are actually located in Trade Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai at close distance of the Western Highway, Bandra and Kurla train stations.

Although meetings with HO take place via videoconferencing, an annual visit to HO at Antwerp is envisaged.

Profile, Qualifications and Demonstrated Abilities:

- 30 - 35 years / 7 - 12 years of progressive experience in providing product support in FLEXCUBE Universal Banking with excellent knowledge in release 11.x (especially sound knowledge of loans and bills module is MUST) within Indian or foreign bank;

- Bachelor / Master Degree in IT (Bachelor in Computer Science, Master of Computer Applications) or related field with strong bank operations experience.- Alternatively Bachelor / Master in Business Administration (preferably in Banking) with a major interest in Application Management with proven skills in FLEXCUBE;

- Technical experiences in the Oracle relational database, SQL, PL/SQL are an added value;

- Experience in report building in Business Intelligence (BI) is an added value.

Proficiency and Key Competencies:

- Strong analytical skills with eye for the detail and accuracy, inquisitive

- Ability to be critical but result oriented in a rapidly changing and complex environment with a high level of responsibility in bringing the assignments to successful conclusion

- Effective verbal, presentation, listening and written communication skills in English

- Self-driven (planning, prioritization), initiative taking, multi-tasking with ability to prioritize and coordinate projects independently

- Willingness to work in a high pressure and time-sensitive environment, extended working hours may be required, immune to stress

- Confidence and assertiveness with strong influencing skills and empathy
