Position: Head of Engineering(DGM/AGM)

Location: HO-Kolkata

Exp: Min 12 Yrs. of Exp (Biscuits Industry Only),Candidate should have good exposure in Biscuit manufacturing ,machine maintenance.

Qualification: B. tech.

Purpose of the Role: Set up a centralized engineering function to ensure best in class engineering operations at Anmol.

Education requirements:

- Bachelors in Mechanical engineering

- Masters/ MTech in Mechanical, production or electrical engineering

Reporting structure:

- Reports directly to VP Operations

- Manage a team of xx individuals

Background & Experience:

- 15 - 18 years of experience in engineering division in the FMCG sector

- Experience in biscuits and bakery preferred

- Experience of heading and setting up engineering excellence and operations function across different plants in India

Skills, Abilities & Knowhow:

- Strong expertise and knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering

- Deep knowledge about engineering excellences, machinery, operations, etc.

- Connections with vendors, industry experts to get best in class services

- Proficiency in managing vendor relationships, negotiation skills, etc.

- Strong cross-functional collaborative abilities

- Strong hold on strategic planning and vision

- Deep analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

- Strong leadership, inter-personal and communication skills

Tasks & Accountabilities:

- Set up centralized engineering function in co-ordination with all plant engineering executives

- Supervise smooth functioning of mechanical, electrical engineering functions across all 7 plants in North and East India

- Set up procedures, SOP, etc. to establish engineering excellence for ensuring best in class ways of working, machinery and operations

- Collaborate with factory incharges to create maintenance plans to ensure regular up keeping of machines and timely repairs to reduce breakdowns

- Conduct regular audits and floor reviews to measure machine efficiencies and plan for replacements as required

- Collaborate with projects team to extensively plan set-up of new projects, expansion of current ones, procurement of new machineries, etc.

- Collaborate with purchase and finance team to budget and reach out to vendors for procurement of new machineries for each plant

- Set-up of KPI/KRA for the engineering team and conduction of regular reviews to monitor team performance
