Ananya Finance for Inclusive Growth Pvt. Ltd. (www.ananyafinance.com) is a fast-growing NBFC in the impact finance space. The company caters to the MSE (Micro & Small Enterprises) and Microfinance segments with some presence in value-chain financing. The current portfolio comprises Unsecured loans but the company has started Secured lending (Micro-LAP), which it plans to scale up. The company's operations presently span across 6 states in Northern and Western regions of India with some presence in the Eastern region as well.

The Microfinance segment is catered to through its subsidiary, Prayas Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. which is a NBFC-MFI.

Ananya & Prayas have a physical-branch distribution model with around 100 branches. The network is planned to be increased to 200 within the next 12 months. The company is also developing digital distribution capabilities.

Ananya is looking to appoint its National Head of Credit & Collections. This is a group position with responsibility for both the companies Ananya and its subsidiary Prayas. The position is part of the CXO Leadership team and reports to the Managing Directors. The base-location for the position is Gurugram and the role involves travel

5. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Develop and Implement Credit Risk Strategy: Design, implement, and continuously refine a comprehensive risk strategy aligned with the company's goals, focusing on Credit Risk and Risk Analytics in the MSE & Microfinance segment. Develop the credit policies, risk models, analytics, and strategies that support business growth through responsible lending.

Credit Decisioning:

- Provide guidance and oversight to credit underwriting teams.

- Review and approve credit limits, terms, and conditions for the company's products.

Portfolio Management:

- Oversee the management of credit portfolios ensuring risk exposure is well-maintained and aligned with the company's risk appetite.

- Monitor delinquency trends and credit losses

- Implement strategies to mitigate credit risk and enhance portfolio performance.

Collection Management:

- Develop and implement strategic recovery plans in line with the company objectives - Field & Tele Calling channel.

- Monitor and analyse the business operating environment for all the regions with respect to Market Trends, Segment Level Delinquency etc.

Reporting and Analytics:

- Prepare and present regular credit risk reports to senior management and Board committees.

- Utilize analytics tools and techniques to derive insights and inform strategic decisions.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing credit risk management team.

- Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and risk awareness within the team.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and technology, to ensure a holistic approach to risk management that aligns with business objectives.

- Engage with regulatory authorities and external auditors on credit risk-related matters. Stay abreast of regulatory changes in the financial industry, ensuring the company's risk management practices adhere to all relevant regulations and standards.

Key Areas of Expertise:

- Should have relevant experience of managing MSE / Micro-finance Portfolios at a National role in the past. Working in a similar position for the last 2-3 years would be an advantage.

- Should be well versed with domestic geographical pockets and improve the scope of collections. Personal experience in handling impactful locations would be an advantage.

- Should have sound knowledge of legal & litigation processes and possess strong vendor management experience - both collection and legal.

Qualification and Skill requirements:

- MBA Finance/CA; Risk management certifications (e.g., FRM, PRM) would be an advantage

-15+ years of relevant experience in a Bank or NBFC. Experience of working in Credit Risk and Portfolio Management function in MSE/Microfinance is a must.

- Strong knowledge of Unsecured credit risk assessment, collateral valuation and risk modelling. Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements

- Excellent leadership and team management skills. Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with businesses product management and technology teams.

- Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Should have a penchant for compliance and independent audit

- Should be open to extensive traveling
