- At least 10 years experience in technologies like Predictive (SPSS preferred), Business Intelligence (Cognos), Analytics driven industry solutions (for Retail, Finance, Manufacturing in areas like Customer Analytics, Behavior based Customer Insight, Fraud Management / Anti Money Laundering etc. ), Big Data, Warehousing

- Readiness to travel 50% travel

Job description : Analytics Solutions Architect - Technical Sales

- The Analytics Solutions Client Architect participates in translation of the client's business requirements into specific system, application or process designs.

- This includes working as a team member with client personnel to identify functional requirements and subsequently working with or in some instances leading others in the identification, justification and design of the client's solution.

- Participates in a wide range of design activities, from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification.

- This position requires knowledge across multiple platforms, processes or architectures with focus on Analytics solutions.

- Works effectively with other team members to understand customer needs and to design, evaluate and develop IT solutions which meet those needs.

- Guides and influences team members, including customer, vendor and subcontractor personnel, and IBMers to accomplish the team's technical and schedule goals.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

Solution Designer : Analyze a customer's business and IT challenges and design a comprehensive solution that integrates smoothly into the customer's environment, is checked carefully for reliability, availability and scalability, and leverages the appropriate IBM products in order to increase Analytics sales.

Solution Advisor : Support the Analytics team in promoting the applicability of the Business Analytics focus solution(s) in order to achieve buy-in from the enterprise's management and IT communities, seeking to create new opportunities as well as advance existing sales efforts.

Sales Acceleration : Develop and deliver compelling demonstrations, contributes in proof of concepts, prototypes, and other pre-sales assets which tie solutions to Customer Value.

Facilitator : Be a leader in fostering communication among customer, IBM and Analytics teams.

Project Advisor : Support the Analytics team in ensuring that the business vision has been satisfied through the design, adapting to inevitable design compromises and modified nonfunctional requirements, suggesting solutions to customer skill gaps, correcting architectural errors, and observing the deployed system to harvest lessons for future projects.

Problem Solving :

- Recognizes and articulates complex problems related to the solution being developed.

- Applies creativity and judgment in development of multiple IT solutions related to project objectives.

- Analyzes problems and creates solutions involving IT technology, methodology, process, tools and solution components.

- Influences customers, vendors, subcontractors and IBMers inside and outside project with presentations on project-related topics. Influence extends to both management and non-management personnel.

- Collaborates with the Analytics Sales and/or Market Segment Manager in defining the customer's business and integration requirements/strategy. Works directly with customers. Activities affect customer satisfaction

- Provides technical guidance to implementation team members throughout the project lifecycle. May lead supporting implementation team in a small project or be responsible for subsystem implementation in a large project.
