Analytics Leader/Business Analyst - STL/OL - Mortgage

Location: Bangalore or Pune (preferably Bangalore)

Role Purpose:

- This role would be responsible for performing Analytics for Mortgage (US). The Business Analyst will perform key analytical and data research functions within the Mortgage vertical.

Qualification:

- Bachelors / Masters in Statistics with Computer

Or

- Bachelors / Masters in Statistics/Mathematics along with experience in Analytics.

Competency:

- Extensive experience in Mortgage Analytics with minimum of 5 - 6 years of experience working with mortgage business.

- Proven experience of working on complex analytics assignments/projects/engagements.

- Proven experience in advanced modeling, segmentation, strategy, forecasting and other related multivariate techniques.

- Experience working on different delivery models.

- Experience working with open source analytics tools such as Hadoop, R, Open Web Analytics (OWA), Lumify

- Experience with machine learning tools - data cleaning, pre-processing cleaning, and usage of algorithm.

- Proven experience in MS Excel, Powerpoint & MS access

- Prior experience of product development in Analytics space will be an advantage.

- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and confidence interacting with senior level management.

- Ability to lead and front-end with the client directly and work with internal team in a cohesive manner

- Technical solutioning and project management skills would be preferred.

- Six Sigma certification and exposure to process re-engineering is desirable

Roles and Responsibilities but not limited to:

- The candidate will be responsible for extensive operational process study and will conduct detailed analysis of mortgage processes to include workflow design review, time and motion study, historical data, benchmarking and process improvements.

- Responds to requests for specific customized reports and ad hoc analysis.

- Consults with business clients to identify and define business requirements and translate business needs into project specifications

- Develop and deploy consulting solutions to meet client’s data, reporting and analytical needs.

- Interprets results, trends, fluctuations or anomalies in results, reacts to determine root cause and recommends solutions to increase revenue, reduce expense, or maximize operational efficiency/quality.

- Presents results of analysis and recommendations to senior management independently

- Capability development in the area of Mortgage Analytics.

- New product and point solutions development with a focus on driving and aiding growth.

- Drive knowledge initiatives within the organization
