Analyst/Senior Analyst - Investment Banking

Job Responsibilities:

- To assist the senior investment management team in the appraisal and execution of investment opportunities in social and community enterprises;

- Appraisal of the commercial and financial viability of organizations and their ability to afford to take on investment;

- Evaluation of the social impact of organizations;

- Maintenance of relationships with portfolio companies and monitoring their social and financial performance

- Undertake initial screening of inquiries and assessment of applications for investment from

- Assist investment managers with commercial and financial due diligence, performing market research and financial analysis, including review of historic and prospective financial information;

- Contribute to the drafting of investment papers for review by investment managers before submission to the Pre-Investment Committee and Investment Committee;

- Undertake impact performance assessments of existing and prospective investees;

- Support all aspects of investment portfolio management, monitoring the social and financial performance of existing investments, reviewing management information and compliance with covenants, and providing investee support;

- Undertake targeted research and marketing efforts in order to support the development of a pipeline of new investment business opportunities

Job Requirements:

- MBA(Finance)/CA with 2-5 years of relevant experince in a venture capital firm

- Solid foundation in accounting and (Excel) financial model construction;

- Strong client service orientation with openness to feedback and new ideas;

- Passion for social / development impact using business models;

- Ability to work effectively across multiple international cultures;

- Prior entrepreneurial experience would be preferred

- Willingness to travel;

- High proficiency in MS Office;

- Demonstrated teamwork skills;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions;

- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills; ability to relate sensitively to a wide and diverse range of individuals and organizations;
