Analyst/Senior Analyst - Financial & Regulatory Reporting

- They are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their Financial and Regulatory Reporting (FinR) team as an Analyst/Senior Analyst. Role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment within the financial services industry.
Location: Hyderabad/Gurugram/Bengaluru
Department: Financial Operations - Financial and Regulatory Reporting (FinR)
Education and Certification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) would be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Zero to three years of relevant work experience in financial reporting for global investment or banking entities.
- Experience in handling audits and ensuring statutory compliance under U.S. GAAP is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct account and performance analyses to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Handle investor management and regulatory reporting for multiple legal entities operating in global capital markets.
2. Change Management:
- Monitor and understand changes in the firm's business operations.
- Incorporate these changes into the firm's financial reporting infrastructure.
3. Technology Projects:
- Drive technology projects focused on reporting and analysis tools (e.g., Power BI and Power Query).
- Streamline workflows and enhance user experience through technology solutions.
4. Fund Management:
- Contribute to the launch of new funds and the closure of existing funds.
- Participate in structuring complex fund structures and transactions.
- Handle historical analyses and respond to bespoke requests from various internal groups.
5. Accounting Expertise:
- Stay updated on developments in technical accounting, primarily U.S. GAAP.
- Provide accounting guidance within the firm.
- Assist in adopting new accounting standards.
- Prepare and review accounting policy memorandums.
- Maintain and update the firm's accounting policy manual.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various internal departments, including trade accounting, management company accounting, pricing, investor relations, tax, treasury, legal and compliance, and software development groups.
- Interact extensively with external auditors.
- Prior experience in the hedge fund or investment banking industries is an added advantage.
