Job Opportunity for Analyst/ Senior Analyst- Financial Crime Monitoring -leading Investment Bank.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for reviewing suspicious activity alerts generated by the firms automated transaction monitoring surveillance systems, ensuring that alerts are resolved in a timely fashion.
Liaise with relevant business units to gather information for alert investigations.
Escalate alerts in a timely manner to London team in order to close out complex investigations.
Prepare weekly MIS periodically on the volume metrics and productivity
Ensure quality deliverables as per the standard operating procedures and in a timely manner
Ensure strict adherence to the firms, process guidelines
Identify process and operational risks proactively and formulate steps to mitigate the same
Work closely with the stakeholders to ensure alerts are appropriately considered and potential Financial Crime risk for the Firm are fully mitigated.
Work in conjunction with overseas offices in assisting them with periodic and ad-hoc surveillance activities as detailed in relevant procedures
Qualification, Experience & Skills:
Post Graduate with minimum 2 years experience in Banking/Financial services sector; particularly within Financial Crime Monitoring.
Good understanding of UK and global AML transaction monitoring regulations and guidance i.e. FATF, Joint Money Laundering Steering Group JMLSG.
Be methodical with a strong analytical approach to problem solving. Ability to accommodate shift pattern working.
Ability to work under pressure and to deliver under tight deadlines
Team player who is willing to learn quickly and adapt to meet the needs of role. Have strong communication skills Familiarity with Actimize and SWIFT messaging systems would be an added advantage.
Candidates need to be flexible for 8.30am to 5.30pm shift or 7am to 4pm shift.
