Job Title Analyst / Senior Analyst (Asia/ASEAN -Economic Research)

Reporting To Manager / Senior Manager

We'll trust you to :

- The position is of an Associate with a Top-ranking Economics team with a reputed Investment bank client of ours, who are responsible for the Firm's forecasts of economic activity, interest rates and policy developments

- The candidate is expected to provide general research assistance and statistical analyses for the onshore economics team, which provides macro research for use of its end clients

- The research is also used by the internal equity and fixed income sales team at the client's end to advise and direct their clients in managing various portfolios

- In addition, the position will involve helping the team to update some of its regular research products

What you'll need to have

- Post Graduate Degree in Economics & statistics/Econometrics

- 1 to 5 years of working experience as an economist to include conducting or at least contributing to applied macroeconomic research projects (preferable)

- The candidate would need to be in office by 07:00 am IST

- Strong background in macro and international economics

- Knowledge and practical experience of basic econometrics and time series analysis

- Strong writing skills

- Strong communication skills

- Knowledge of EViews and R / Python
