Assignment Brief:

Position Title: Credit Rating Analyst / Sr Credit Rating Analyst

Department Ratings:

Location: Mumbai/ Pune /Hyderabad/ Gurgaon/ Bangalore

Job Purpose:

- The role is primarily responsible for assessing credit worthiness of companies through analyzing financial statements and preparing ratings report

- The role provides subject matter expertise to the team and is responsible for handling complex reports

- Contributing to Research

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyzing financial statements, performance and trend analysis for assessing the credit worthiness of the company

- Independently handling rating assignments for entities of varying sizes and preparing reports and rationale for the assigned ratings

- Preparing rating report by including profile of the rated company, key rating considerations, credit risk assessment, ratio analysis like proficiency, turnover & solvency, financial projection/modeling, operational & industry analysis

- Adhering to standard operating procedure & policies

- Conducting research on the industry in which the company is operating and keeping a track on the performance of the industry as a whole

- Analyzing the business model, identifying strengths, weakness, risks, understanding the revenue models and the corporate structure of the businesses

- Ensuring quality check of the work deliverables

- Assist senior analysts in areas related to credit evaluation and monitoring

- Providing guidance to peers

Qualifications and Functional Competencies:

- Preferably a CA (1st Attempt), or an MBA from Tier 1 /2 /3 with experience in Mid / large corporate analysis

- Senior Analyst role 2 to 8 years experience of analyzing

- Ability to understand the business of clients

- Ability to analyze financial statements

- Good understanding of the financial and banking sector

- Analytical bent of mind

- Ability to create impact through the expertise

- Interpersonal skills

- Good report writing skills
