Overview of SCM CoC:

SCM CoC is the analytical wing of SCM practice of the Company and is looking for an experienced professional with significant experience in Supply Chain Management. The Expert will work directly with client service teams (CSTs) on SCM and logistics related issues of the clients (from various industry verticals such as CPG, A&A, Basic Materials, Hi-Tech, Chemicals, Pharma, Petroleum and Petrochemicals etc.). The Current team focuses on the following 3 aspects (apart from others):-

- SCM and logistics quick & deep dive diagnostics with analytics,

- Complex combinatorial optimization, statistical and simulation modeling

- SCM and logistics transformation

The member though based in Gurgaon will need to travel frequently to serve clients onsite.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Analyst would spend significant part (- 50-60%) of his/her time working with the Operations (SCM) practice and consulting teams in the Company helping with the complex client problems in the Supply Chain domain. For example, developing optimal network configuration models for global supply chains of clients, stochastic simulation of inventory levels with the objective of creating a robust inventory policy, conducting diagnostics on supply chain health and performance for our clients etc.

Additional time will be spent in doing general analytical work for the whole clientele of the Company which would include among others usage of statistical techniques and operations research for data analysis.

Specifically, he/she will be expected to perform the following roles:

- Work on client engagements focusing on supply chain strategy and operations related advanced analytical models

- Support development and maintenance of SCM & Operations Management tools and other knowledge development projects

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated both a strong business sense and deep understanding of the quantitative foundations of supply chains and operations management. Candidates must also possess the following hallmarks of excellent problem solving skills, team skills, entrepreneurial ability, and strong communication skills:

- Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.

- Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both written and spoken English; prior experience in a multi-national environment desirable.

- Energetic, cooperative and pleasant personality. Able to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members

- Flexibility, patience, and an understanding of fluid, demanding, and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are regularly challenged.

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines

Successful execution of this role will need high levels of technical expertise. Candidates should have exposure to some of the following tools and techniques:

- Techniques like Linear, Nonlinear and Integer Programming, Discrete Event and Monte Carlo Simulation

- Statistical techniques like Regression analysis, time series/predictive modeling and design of experiments

- Tools like CPLEX, GAMS, What's Best!, Arena, R, e-views, Tableau, Alteryx, SPSS Programming skills in C, C++, Excel, Access and VBA.

- Exposure to heuristics, meta-heuristics is desirable
