We have an urgent opening with one of the leading Investment Bank for Data Analyst role in Bangalore Location.

Role Purpose (overall high-level summary of the role) :

- Assist with monitoring and maintenance of Critical Data Elements (CDEs) for HBAP Wholesale Credit Risk systems and processes that relate to key risk metrics across WMR.

- Identify data breaches in order to remediate and reduce breach to acceptable thresholds by preparing monthly Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) for Data Quality Dashboard, conducting in-depth investigation/analysis, proposing remediation approaches and following up with various stakeholders

- Identify systemic data input and control gaps in order to provide suggestions for enhancements to reduce data quality issues

- Ensure ongoing compliance with Data Management and Governance principles in terms of CDEs, lineage and data dictionaries, Golden Sources etc. as well as performing gap analysis against the expected standard of compliance with internal and external policy/regulatory requirements

Qualifications :

- Typically qualifications would include an undergraduate or post-graduate degree in Business Administration, Finance or an equivalent professional qualification.

Knowledge/Skills :

- Analysis, interpretation of complex data and associated report writing.

- Problem-solving skills

- Data analysis and issue identification skills

- Advanced MS Excel proficiency

- Ability to develop advance techniques in data analysis and data mining using SQL, SAS or COGNOS is preferred

- Attention to detail

- Strong interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of BASEL internal rating based Wholesale Credit Risk preferred

Experience :

- At least two-year experience in either corporate banking or wholesale risk management

- Experience in working with complex and high volume data and the interoperations of such data

- Experience working on risk systems with knowledge of Internal rating based credit management

- Knowledge of HSBC Group, its operations, systems and products and financial systems/reconciliation preferable
