International Tax Analyst
- Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire a International Tax Analyst for Mumbai location
- Purpose/Key Objectives of the Job:
- Manage company tax matters in the Middle East and South Asia regions.
- Provide support to global tax management by gathering necessary data for tax research and planning projects.
- Collaborate closely with tax and accounting colleagues, as well as external service providers, to achieve objectives.
- Determine optimal resource allocation to accomplish goals.
- Review current processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure expected outcomes are met.
Responsibilities:
- Gather information from IM systems and finance colleagues to address requests from tax management and external service providers regarding tax planning projects.
- Oversee company tax matters in the Middle East and South Asia, including countries such as UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Singapore, Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia.
- Review quarterly tax accounting provisions and annual tax return calculations.
- Manage company relationships with its worldwide tax compliance partner.
- Assist the global Tax Manager in collecting information from worldwide affiliates for maintaining transfer pricing documentation and CBCR compliance.
- Respond to business colleagues' requests regarding residency certificates and other queries.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with colleagues in business and other finance departments.
Level of Autonomy:
- Prepare data, information, and reports for multiple stakeholders at various levels within the global Tax Team.
- Challenges of job holder in daily work and action taken to overcome them:
- Managing productivity, time zone differences, and meeting delivery expectations.
Job Requirements:
Education and experience: Chartered Accountant with relevant tax experience acquired from a Big Four and/or multinational corporation.
Specialized Skills/Requirements:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in corporate income tax and tax accounting processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with South Asia and/or Middle East income tax systems.
- Proficient in tax accounting, including return-to-tax calculations.
- Strong quantitative skills, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in logical reasoning.
- Ability to work in a complex business environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Results-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines, managing multiple demands, and working with varying levels in the organization.
- Significant experience with SAP, SAP BW, and proficiency in networking platforms, analysis, and reporting applications.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.
- Ability to identify opportunities for improving information gathering and delivery for tax compliance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and liaise with multiple international stakeholders.
- International mindset with sensitivity to cultural differences.
- Ability to interface effectively with colleagues in Finance and Information Management departments.
