Experience: Fresher 2017 - 2018 passed (0 to 1 year)

Role & Responsibilities:

Credit Analyst role wherein the Analyst will work on analyzing and assigning credit ratings for trading entities across sectors and geographies. The portfolio includes a mixture of Corporates, Banks, Insurance, Broker-dealer and Funds (Investment Advisors, Mutual Funds, Pension Funds, Hedge Funds).

Details of Responsibility - 

- Carrying out Credit risk analysis to arrive at a credit rating using the organization's internal rating methodology. This entails financial statement analysis (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow statement, Annual Reports, Fund portfolio statements), sector analysis and peer comparism

- Monitor the performance of assigned trading entities and also closely track developments related to the Counterparty, industry, regulations, etc. which could materially affect its credit profile

- Performing and assisting senior analysts in industry research and sector reviews, and preparing credit updates for senior management

- Develop working knowledge of products traded by Investment Banks, the interaction between credit risk and other divisions, legal agreements etc.

- Participating in ad-hoc projects e.g. the development of rating models, UAT testing, preparing suggesting system and process improvements, other divisional initiatives etc.

Skills Required

- Chartered Accountant 1st attempt and preferably with an internship at the Big 4 firms

- 0-1 years- experience

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Basic knowledge of Finance and products traded by Investment Banks or commercial banks

- The ability to be a - self-starter-, should have proactive approach, and a quick learner

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must, any additional technical knowledge will be an added advantage
