Job Title : Analyst
Business Area : Global Markets - Credit Client Strategy & Analytics
Reports To : (line manager's job title only) AVP
Person Specifications (These qualities are must) :
- Engineering Graduate or MBA (IT) from good business school with strong numeracy skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Products
- Tech Skill like Excel macros, MS Office, VBA &SQL
Job Purpose :
- The role requires sound understanding of Credit Markets, eye for detail and an ability to liaise with the Sales & Trading desks, Business Managers and Technology team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tasks/projects performed. Over the past year the team has created its own niche brand within the business and the person joining this team has got a great ask to drive this brand further
Main duties & responsibilities :
- Be required to create various MI dashboards and ad-hoc reports for Credit Business.
- Be required to have a good understanding of the Credit business.
- Be required to demonstrate technical skills like developing Excel macros / VBA, SQL queries and Spotfire / Qlikview development
- Have to be pro-active in owning the existing daily tasks like generation of various reports which include P&L Forecasting, Volume, RWA, Sales Credits, Market Share and Productivity Analysis etc.
- Work closely with Credit Business Managers, Client Strategy Heads, Sales and Trading Teams
- Prepare monthly business metrics pack
- Prepare presentation docs for COOs across regions
- Work closely with Technology Team to stream line the processes. Candidate will be required to come up with their own suggestions to improve the processes
Person Specifications :
The role holder will :
- Engineering Graduate or MBA (IT) from good business school with strong numeracy skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, able to clearly articulate complicated issues to management and other impacted areas and ensure timely resolution of issues and breaches
- Highly analytical and numerate with exceptional problem solving abilities
- Excel, MS Office skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of Credit Products
- Well organised with good time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize tasks.
- Able to work effectively as part of a large team.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize accordingly in a highly pressurized environment.
- Willing to take on responsibility.
- Confident in dealing with groups outside of immediate team (Sales, Trading, Product Control, Credit, Legal).
- Ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships at all levels including interacting effectively with other key areas within the bank e.g. IT, MO, FO, Ops Control.
- Detailed and meticulous, consistently delivering a high level of accuracy and attention to detail with high quality output.
