Analyst - Digital Strategy

Role requires working as a generalist across all of the Wholesale Digital Office's focus areas, with an opportunity to specialise in specific digital / fintech projects and technologies as the individual's skills and interests evolve

The individual will operate as part of the broader Wholesale Strategy team and work closely with an experienced team of senior leaders across the Wholesale Digital Office

The individual will be required to work with Wholesale Digital Office and Wholesale Strategy team on a range of projects :

- Analysis of the competitive and industry developments in digital based on public data, white papers, and industry reports

- Assessment of organic and inorganic opportunities to grow digital business capabilities

- Prepare presentations on digital growth initiatives and investment opportunities for senior management, board meetings and other internal stakeholders

- Assist in WDO's investment pipeline by preparing quantitative financial models and testing key assumptions

- Conduct business due diligence of target companies, prepare investment pitch decks articulating the value the investments

- Assist in transaction execution by liaising with Legal, corporate development teams, etc.

- Engage with various internal functions such as business CAOs, Global Markets trading desks, Investment Bank, Wholesale Strategy Team, Corporate functions etc. as part of projects

Required Skills:

- Demonstrated interest in areas driving digital transformation of banking and financial services industry as a part of academics, professional certifications and/or work experience

- Keen observer of the technology trends impacting financial services, particularly capital markets/ investment banking

- Knowledge of and/or experience in Digital Assets, Cryptocurrencies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.), Stablecoins, and broader digital banking areas

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Qualification:

- 0 to 2 years of experience in banking, financial services or management consulting firm with a focus on Digital Strategy or Fintech

- Candidates graduating in 2022 with relevant skill-set (described above) can apply

- Bachelors / Dual Degree in engineering or quantitative disciplines (Mathematics, Statistics etc.) from top tier university

- Solid academic track-record and outstanding extra-curricular achievement
