Data Governance Analyst

1. Key Purpose Statement - Core mission:

- The core purpose of a Data Governance Analyst is to ensure that an organization's data is managed effectively and efficiently by creating and implementing policies, procedures, and standards for data quality, security, privacy, and compliance.

- They are responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of data through the identification and documentation of business rules, processes, systems, applications, and data flows. Additionally, they own and document data artifacts, including process flows, system specs, KPI definitions, lineage, BRDs, design plans, tables, and logics, to ensure data is consistent and well-understood across the organization.

2.Responsibilities:

- Identify and document the business rules, processes, systems, applications, and data flows in the business processes

- Own and document data artifacts - process flows, system specs, KPI definitions, lineage, BRDs, design plan, tables, logics

- Responsible for developing a business and data governance framework to capture any change in the business process and data

- Develop test data, validate production data files, log and retest defects, and execute test cases in both a manual and automated environment

- Guide the entire data team with business, system knowledge and guide them in right direction

- Work as a key contributor to increasing the speed and quality of key deliverables

- Leverage defect metrics to help improve development and testing practices

4.REQUIREMENTS - KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

a. Education (High/University), language knowledge (level of EN, CZ, .. ), length of practice and experiences required:

A degree in Computer Science / Information Technology /MBA

- Fluent communication skills in English both written and verbal

- Team player who can share experience with the team and grow them technically

- High quantitative and cognitive ability to solve complex problem and think with a vision

b. Qualifications, knowledge of "XY", specific technology; hard and soft skills required:

- 2 + years of experience as Business Analyst / Quality Analyst / Data Steward analyzing data, business requirements

and systems

- Ability to link data to definition, to tables to systems to source to the business process

- Great hands-on documentation with business processes, flow charts, designs, mappings

- Experience with data governance frameworks and ability to manage data as an asset

- Good knowledge of SQL, databases, JIRA, Confluence, MS Word, Excel, Test case, Power BI and quality management

- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

- Strong customer ethos and the ability to insights into value creation opportunities and deliverables
