Analyst - Credit Risk - Insurance

Our Client is one of the largest offshore technology and shared services captives in the country.

Overall purpose of role

Jobholder will be part of the team which is responsible for credit risk analysis, monitoring and limits administration for Banks/ FI counterparties of US / EMEA / APAC region. The team supports onshore credit officers by preparing annual credit review papers and in administration.

- Effective credit risk management of the assigned portfolio of financial institution clients (mainly insurance clients).

- Preparation of annual credit review packs and Industry reviews.

- Supporting onshore credit risk officers in day-to-day risk management activities.

- Managing day-to-day credit limit requests for trade finance and treasury transactions.

- Managing within a set of credit limits assigned by the onshore credit officers to individual clients and portfolios at product and country level

- Maintaining accurate and up to date information in the Banks- credit systems

- Ensuring compliance with Bank's credit risk policies & procedures and internal controls framework

Person Specification

Essential:

- Ability to read financial statements and familiarity with credit risk concepts

- Inclination to turn around large volumes with focus on efficiency

- Eye for detail

- Masters/ Professional qualification such as MBA/ CA/ CFA or equivalent

- Experience in credit analysis/ research

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English

- Strong analytical skills

- Understanding of financial accounts & balance sheets of Banks and financial institutions.
