Credit Quality Assurance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:


1. As a part of the Credit Quality Assurance (CQA) Department of the Bank, the analyst is required to conduct independent review of the allocated individual loan assets of the bank as such to assess their overall quality and advise opinion on the same. The analyst, inter-alia, to effectively analyse the financial performance in terms of ratio analysis, financial performance of the borrower, business & industry risk, project financing, management risks, latest developments in various industries, changes in the legal, regulatory & compliance landscape and the implications on exposures.

2. While the quality of observations by the analyst remains paramount, complete crisp and independent asset quality analysis write-up memos after considering the final obligor risk ratings, post sanction modifications, sufficiency of documentation etc., brought out with unambiguous drafting, are the key operational deliverables.

3. Continuous monitoring of the assigned portfolio, identification of early warning signals, following industry trends and its impacts to key relationships and timely escalation of potential credit issues to sanctioning authorities and ensure quality / health of the portfolio.

4. Interact and follow-up with the counterparts in Business and Risk department for timely closure of respective CQA observations and completion of the periodic top-management reports.

5. Ensure compliance to all Audit / RBI regulations as well as processes, policies and reports as per the defined systems of the Bank.

Skills/Competencies:

1. Well-developed analytical skills, including an understanding of key financial parameters (particularly liquidity position, leverage profile) with the ability to identify root causes and trends.

2. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of financial statements analysis.

3. Forms independent opinions on business model, industry trends and recognizes emerging risks.

4. Understanding of Credit Policy and procedures and proactively align with the policies and procedures of the Bank to identify quality issues in the individual assets & assigned portfolio as fast as possible.

5. Effective written skills for writing crisp risk memo with independent opinion; effective verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and exert influence with and without direct authority.

Essential Qualifications:

1. Graduation with additional qualification viz. CA or MBA or CFA.

2. Preferable qualifications - CAIIB, Courses on Trade Finance, Risk Management, Treasury

3. Proficiency with MS Office particularly in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Presentation.

4. Skills of using Statistical Packages is desirable

Experience:

1. Exposure of a minimum of 5 years in PSU Banks/New generation Private Sector Banks/Foreign Banks, preferably in similar departments.

2. Candidates from organisations catering to overseas banks, rating agencies and cooperative banks not preferred

3. Proficiency in Finacle, other lending platforms, databases, etc.
