Analyst - Commodity Research - Oil & Gas

Looking for candidates with strong exp in Commodity Research from Oil & Gas Market.

- Candidates must have global experience .

Below are few pointers :-

- Provide regular analysis of the market, supply/demand trends, long & short term price forecast, investment trends, etc.

- Publish weekly, quarterly and ad hoc reports on oil commodities market

- Present his main calls to clients in face-to-face meetings, clients events, international conferences

- Participate actively to the commodities research team global view on the asset class

Educational Requirements :

- Strong performance at degree level, with evidence of numeracy, writing skills and and an analytical approach to problems.

- Master Degree in Oil & Economics from reputed university

Range of Experience :

- Strong experience in Oil Research within a global metals business either at a leading global Investment bank, commodities trading house, hedge fund or independent research house

Role Title Economist IT : Microsoft Office,

- Strong understanding of the factors and trends affecting Oil from a supply, demand, geo-political and regional perspective

- Strong technical and fundamental understanding of the oil sector associated products and trading businesses.

- Ability to integrate into and interact with the existing well-ranked commodities team

- Good level in financial models and Softwares (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)

- Good understanding of the financial products and basic knowledge of trading/hedging strategy of the main players (investors & corporates) - Analyzing markets on real-time, producing supply/demand/price forecasts, writing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for clients, doing face-to-face presentation for clients, advising and interacting with traders on a real-time basis, participating to conferences as a speaker

- Full responsibility of the methodology of analysis, the development of forecasting models, the content of his reports

- Manage external info & data providers, database, subscriptions,

- Accountable of his calls, his reputation and his rankings in the market

- Interact with the other team members to improve the team visibility, credibility and notoriety of the commodities research team

- Reports to the Global Head of the Commodities Research Team

- Making calls as long as they are consistent with calls on other commodities, forex, rates, macroeconomics, etc.
