Key Responsibilities: Assessments of investment opportunities: - Assist in evaluating investment opportunities for the firm by doing detailed market research, competitive analysis, customer due diligence and build perspectives on different business models. - Source investment opportunities from existing and new founders- networks and prepare deal notes to make a case for the investment team. - Perform analytical work (due diligence, financial modelling, prepare pricing comparability data) to better structure the deals - Prepare Industry-wide analysis reports for internal and external use by gathering and summarizing sector/country bench marking information. - Assist in portfolio activities and extract lessons from earlier investments. Due diligence and investment documentations: - Conduct due diligence on potential investment opportunities - Manage process of deal documentation, legal review, financial administration - Collaborate with legal counsel, accountants, auditors and other service providers to manage investment to closing Analysis to support existing portfolio company - Support portfolio company follow on fundraising or strategic partnership development by producing investor presentations, drafting business plans and strategic plans Fund Administration: - Support investment team on administrative needs including scheduling meetings with entrepreneurs for new investments, coordinating meetings with portfolio company management teams. - Prepare routine portfolio reporting/MIS reports to track the performance of the firm's investments. - Update and maintain proprietary firm databases and assist in all other relevant investment activities. Education Qualification and Experience: - Degree or equivalent with a strong record of academic and extra-curricular achievement. - 2- 3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, strategic corporate development (M&amp;A) in tech company, venture capital investing or management consulting. Job Requirement: - Basic understanding of start-ups, investments, deal terms, valuations, and equity. - Demonstrated experience in analysing financial statements/MIS reports. - Ability to conduct market research and analyse them to extract relevant insights. - Basic understanding of how specific investments in different industries and sectors impact economic, market and social development, and how to use mapping methodology to assess market conditions. - Ability to form relationships with counterparts and mid-level clients and stakeholders to exchange information needed.
