Analyst/Associate - Equity Research - Buy Side - BFS

We are looking for an Equity Research Analyst/Associate with 2-7 years of experience for a buyside fund.

The candidate should preferably have multiple sector exposure with strong financial modeling/valuations skills, and a flair of identifying both long-term and short-term investment ideas.

Job Description :

- Strong expertise in coverage sectors (preferably 2-3 sector exposure).

- Conduct comprehensive industry research and analysis.

- Develop and maintain financial models.

- Prepare, pitch, and maintain detailed and compelling financial research summaries/reports and presentations.

- Actively track News/Corporate announcements/Regulations and study the impact on Equities and Portfolio.

- Regularly monitor developments in our investee companies through media updates, corporate announcements, and published results.

- Attend earnings call, prepare earnings model/Management meets/conferences and provide active contribution to company and sector research

- Conducting on-ground research/channel checks/lateral meets for better view on the sector/companies.

- Contribute with investment ideas based on top-down or bottom-up research across the allocated /respective sectoral coverage

- Regular portfolio analysis and reporting to senior team on portfolio/peer set.

Candidate Profile :

- CFA/CA/MBA (Finance) with 2-7 years of work experience in either buyside or sell side.

- Candidate should be well informed about different asset classes and macro issues, with a conceptual understanding of important technical terms.

- He should have a passion for generating alpha with a deep interest and aptitude for analyzing financial information, trends that affect companies, industries, and markets on a regional and global scale.

- Proficient in Excel and knowledge of various data bases such as Capitaline, Ace Equity, Bloomberg etc.

- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to provide & defend an opinion with senior team.
