Analyst - Actuarial - BFS

Acturial Analyst- 2-6 years - Mumbai - MNC firm

We need acturial analyst who have cleared atleast 3 papers of acturial studies for MNC firm in Mumbai.

- As an Analyst the person will be required to work with the Group Actuarial team and MNC firm With Profit Stochastic Modelling (WPSM) team on Risk Scenario Generators (RSG) used by the Internal Capital model for the firm.

Roles and responsibilities

Key responsibilities:

 - Help and Assist the senior members of the team with the following:

- RSG development, upgrades and impact assessment from Prudential UK prospect;

- Sourcing assumptions required for the RSG calibration

- Executing Model Runs for RSG required to the Capital model and ensuring they are completed in agreed timeframe

- Help and Assist the senior members of the team to Develop and test the tools used in wider RSG and Internal Capital model on various platforms like Access, Excel, ALGO, MATLAB, RAFM within an agreed timeline and at an acceptable quality standard.

 - Produce scenario set as required and include validation and checking of results.

 - Conduct cross-checks on the results produced

 - Able to provide suggestions or ideas for process improvement, checking.

 - Documenting checks performed on work completed

 - Develop an understanding of the bigger picture of RSG

 - Maintain an - audit trail and version control to demonstrate the adequacy of the spreadsheet controls for future enhancements to tools.

 - Draft and maintain up-to-date, appropriate documentation and checklists for any processes that are implemented.

 - Ability to audit, identify and discuss defects, record them and subsequent fixes

Competence / Knowledge / Skills required

Mandatory:

 - 1-3 years of relevant Actuarial experience

 - A student member of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries and / or Indian Institute of Actuaries with atleast 3 exams.

 - Actively studying for and making satisfactory progress with the Institute / Faculty exams as defined in the Mumbai Actuarial Study Support Policy.

- - Good MS Excel & MS Word knowledge

- Basic understanding and experience of reporting measures such as SII and Ecap.

Desired:

 - Experience of VBA would be an advantage

 - Awareness of the Financial Services industry and regulatory environment.

 - Reasonable knowledge insurance industry related products.
