Ameriprise Financial Advisor - Team Leader - Business Analytics

Job Description :

Business Analytics :

- Working with AIM internal teams and business partners to translate business problems into analytical solutions, and working with stakeholders for implementing the solution

- Perform and deliver on complex ad-hoc business analysis requests

- Hands on experience in advance analytical methods such as Predictive modeling - Linear / logistic/ generalized linear regression, Segmentation, Forecasting, Optimization, and Measurement methods, analyzing unstructured data through Text mining, Machine Learning etc.

- Development and execution of reports for program tracking, model validation, and other information based solutions support

- Working with AIM internal teams and business partners to define and document business requirements

Relationship Management :

- Engage US counterparts to ensure analytic solutions are appropriate as per business requirement and level of readiness

- Coordinate and prioritize business needs in a matrix management environment

- Documentation and communication of results and recommendations to US and internal teams

- Ensuring maintenance of requisite quality standards

- Should have people leadership experience

Qualification :

Required Skills :

- 5 - 9 years of prior experience in business analytics industry. Only relevant experience is considered.

- Hands on experience in advance analytical methods such as Predictive modeling - Linear / logistic/ generalized linear regression, Segmentation, Forecasting, Optimization, and Measurement methods analyzing unstructured data through Text mining, Machine Learning etc.

- SAS Expert with extensive use of SAS Macro and macro variables, PROC SQL. Experience in other programming languages such as R, Python will be an advantage

- Statistics experience is must. Should be able to address queries of team members on questions related to Statistics Visualization ; Understanding of Tableau, Microsoft Power View will be an advantage

People Management experience : Should be currently leading a team. Responsibilities include Training team members, Performance evaluation, creating development plans etc.

- Strong quantitative/analytical and problem solving skills

- Engineering / Bachelors / Masters from a well-recognized institute

- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

- Strong and consistent academic performance

- Demonstrated project management skills; with ability to manage complex analytic projects

- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment on multiple projects and drive results through direct and in-direct influence
