Ameriprise Financial Advisor - Pricing Analyst - Insurance Business Unit

This position is within AIM India team and will be responsible for integrating best in class analytic and decision science support for Insurance Business unit.

Responsibilities :

Specific Responsibilities & Deliverables :

Business Analytics :

- Drive business solutions in Auto & Home Insurance analytics domain on Pricing and Reserving area.

- Partner with the Pricing team to leverage actuarial skills and knowledge of property insurance pricing to develop analytics to increase the profitability of the end-to-end auto and home business.

- Hands-on experience in data-analysis, including GLM and other regression modeling techniques and unstructured data mining.

- Working with AIM internal teams and business partners to define and document business requirements.

- Translating business requirements into analytical solutions, and then translating analytic output into understandable and actionable business knowledge.

- Perform and deliver on complex ad-hoc business analysis requests.

Relationship Management :

- Engage US counterparts to ensure analytic solutions are appropriate as per business requirement and level of readiness.

- Documentation and communication of results and recommendations to Business Partners and internal teams.

- Ensuring maintenance of requisite quality standards.

Required Qualifications :

- 4 -9 years of Overall analytics experience. Out of which minimum 3 years of experience should be in P&C Industry.

- Experience in Insurance actuarial pricing, rate making, underwriting, loss development, reserves estimation.

- Hands-on experience in data-analysis, including GLM and other regression modeling techniques and unstructured data mining.

- Experience in Predictive modeling - Linear / logistic regression, Segmentation etc.

- Competence in using the various analytic and reporting tools available (e.g., SAS, Enterprise Guide, R, Python, MS Office).

- Engineering / Bachelors / Masters from a well-recognized institute.

- Strong and consistent academic performance.

- Demonstrated project management skills; with ability to manage complex analytic projects.

- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
