Job Description :  Global Infrastructure - Service Operations is responsible for providing production support for hundreds of critical applications and utilities within American Express.   As part of this team, the Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the following :  - Exceed availability targets for multiple portfolio's in Finance/GBS/Controllership portfolio's, Identify and eliminate risks and trends that disrupt operations or create potential compliance/regulatory risks.   - Execute continual process improvements that deliver innovation and stability to respective business area.  - Partner with development teams and other stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of new functionality.  - Maintain strong working relationships across organizations, vendor partners, and internal customers.   - Drive root cause and permanent resolution for technical issues that impact the portfolio.   - Lead day to day production support operations of a team of technical resources.   - Lead bridge restoration activities.   - Communicate impacts and status updates to stakeholders. Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.  Qualifications :   - Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field ( 8+ years of experience providing global support to large scale Finance application portfolio's) 4+ years experience in remediating issues and supporting business-centric and process-based applications   - Experience managing technical resources on a geographically dispersed team   - Experience and exposure to a variety of technologies, including, but not limited to, Oracle, Informatica, Control-M, OFSAA, SQL, OBIEE, Hyperion, Exadata, ODA,   - Knowledge of Oracle Financial Domain will be plus point   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical issues into business impacts. &bull; Ability to influence without direct authority   - Proven ability to drive circumvention of operational impacts within an aggressive timeline   - Demonstrated high level of personal engagement and the ability to maintain high morale and motivation on a team   - Flexibility to work "on call" outside normal business hours as needed   - Permanent resolution of trends and risks identified through analytics and investigation.
