Job Description:
- Provide consistent support to our Business Partners through timely, accurate and efficient provision of Decision Support Information (currently provided in TM1 application)
- Partner with BU LFO teams to understand their decision support needs, conceptualize and build innovative solutions (leveraging TM1) that deliver strategic insights and value to the business
- Build and maintain financial data models that support AXP BUs in carrying out seamless and efficient Planning & Forecasting, Investment Optimisation, Long Range Plan and Risks & Opportunities (R&Os) Assessment
- Act as forecasting/analytical SME for key P&L drivers, revenue or expense
- Manage user access and security for data
- Liaise with the central TM1 Governance team to ensure use of best practice and optimum design for our financial models
- Ensure a strong control and governance structure exists around our financial models and focus on standardization and continuous improvement
- Be flexible to operate in different time zones to troubleshoot user queries and issues
- Lead a small team of SMEs to provide end to end support to our customers
This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.
Qualifications:
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to develop strong links with partners in remote locations - A high level of proficiency in the use of TM1, particularly: building cubes, rule-writing, programming - Turbo-integrator- process design, TM1 web design
- Demonstrate proven ability to independently lead complex finance/ technology projects alongside the experience to set challenging milestones and deliver on them
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to be able to drive the agenda, build, maintain & own the end-to end relationship with the Business
- A good understanding of data management and the management reporting systems at American Express
- A firm grasp of the Amex business model and P&L including major reports and stat-lines
- Good understanding of AXP planning & forecasting activities at both global & business unit level
- High customer focus with the ability to work flexibly to accommodate all time zones as well as fitting in with customer-driven timetables
