American Express - Manager - MIS & Analytics - Big Data - IIT/NIT/BITS

MIS & Analytics team is core responsibility is to develop/prototype new MIS reports as well as Conducting Analysis and Generate Deep Insights into Card Member Behavior and Operation processes. These form The Backbone Of Optimal Decisions. S/He Will Collaborate closely with the Strategy Team and Operations teams across globe to develop best in class MIS suite. This position will play a crucial role in adoption of Big Data Enterprise capabilities for the team starting from SOR feed identification, data ingestion into big data platform, performing validations, data transformation and building MIS capabilities in partnership with other business stakeholders. Key responsibilities of this role are:

- Support various activities related to centralization of data and MIS on the Big data platform. Closely partnering with other business partners to enable the same with activities like identification of data sources, performing UAT, data transformation logic, building ODLs and data visualization.

- Collaborate with business teams to understand data requirements

- Documents design and architecture of technical solutions and assist in validation of systems against business/functional requirements

- Responsible for maintaining the metadata, business logics, lineage and UAT for Organized Data Layer deployment

- Understanding complex data relationships and business requirements and formulate efficient and reliable solutions to difficult problems

- Build automated data validation system to check data completeness, correctness and accuracy

- Actively participate in evaluation of Big Data tools & capabilities and conduct knowledge sharing sessions for analysts

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of total experience with at least 3 years of relevant experience

- Experience in working with Big data tools (R/Hive/Hadoop etc), SAS, SQL/Teradata, BI tools

- Education Background: Engineering degree from any premium institute (IIT, IIIT, BIT, NSIT, IGIDR etc)

- Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills

- Extensive experience for collecting business requirements from customers, and transform the requirements into DB data processes and data schema.

- Expertise in visualization platforms like Tableau

- Project management skills, and ability to translate business needs into technical/capability specifications

- Ability to work with various teams in a complex environment, ensuring timely delivery of multiple projects.

- Excellent inter-personal skills

- Self driven and proactive in reaching out to multiple stakeholders
