American Express - Manager - Global Data Capabilities - Hive/Python

The Incumbent would be responsible for performing Customer Impact Validation on key roadmap marketing strategies, within Global Data Capability Group in RIM-CoE, India. The position requires performing ad-hoc analysis on live data and identify gaps in the implemented strategies thereby mitigate the risk of Card Member harm and improve on operational excellence. The incumbent would also be responsible to automate recurring tasks and drive process efficiency within the modelling data creation world manage customer case reviews. He would be closely working with Marketing Partner Teams on regular Basis and effectively managing partner expectations

- Understanding Marketing Strategies by effective partnering & engagement

- Translating Marketing Strategies Into Business & data logic to validate the strategies

- Perform thorough analysis to identify gaps in Systems/ Strategies and analyze the root cause within set timelines

- Automate Recurring Processes

- Drive process efficiency

- Documentation of analysis and other processes for audit - Undertake complex data analysis to accomplish the business objective. Independently understand modelling data requirements and deliver under very strict timelines.

Qualifications:

- 5-7 years of very strong programming skills - Hive, Python, SAS, SQL, VBA . Must be proficient with general RDBMS skills and good exposure to Teradata as an RDBMS tool. Very Strong Analytical And Data Interpretation Skills

- Problem Solving Mindset - High Quality Written and Oral Communication Skills with Proven Success in Influencing Business Decisions and Driving Results

- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external business partners with A Demonstrated Ability to Lead and Influence Decisions without Direct Authority. Experience in Financial Domain / Credit Card Industry Would Be Added Advantage. Experience with a Big Data technologies is a plus. Ability to build strong relationships, operate effectively within large cross-functional teams, and influence business partners to drive change

- Demonstrated ability to think outside the box and design industry leading solutions

- Minimum of Master- s/Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, econometrics, or another related field of study
