American Express - Manager - GCSA Spend Analytics

Key Responsibilities include:

As a People Leader Spend Analytics, you as a part of the GCSA Leadership team will be expected to:

1.Manage Spend analysts to provide spend and coverage assessment insights to Account Development Teams through the regional business partners

2.Work collaboratively and efficiently with all internal partners and stakeholders, to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across organizational initiatives

3.Partner with the business leadership teams, providing the business analytic support to help drive decisions that are critical to the ongoing growth of the business.

4.Be a thought-leader. Proactively drive and influence the decision-making processes by delivering key insights and outcomes within the business leadership teams.

5.Responsible for managing all aspects of the Spend Analytics : - Manage, mentor and grow a team of Spend analysts who are responsible for creating Spend Analytics, Supplier Match Analysis and broad AP file analysis - Manage the requirements gathering, planning and execution of projects to meet and exceed Customer satisfaction expectation - Own and develop strategy for team evolution to drive value to partners and Partner with regional and account development teams to ensure strategic alignment - Be the subject matter expert on all company-wide data/metrics - Work closely with the capabilities team to leverage infrastructure optimally - Stabilize, standardize and implement the operating model

6.Responsible for team administrative activities - Identify resources required, assign individual responsibilities and evaluate impact on future resource requirements - Measure, track and meet SLA metrics (schedule adherence, accuracy, timeliness etc.) - Performance & People Management This role may be subject to additional background verification checks.

Qualification

1.Bachelor degree required

2.At least 6 yrs+ of overall experience with 2+ years of people leader experience

3. Relevant experience in People Management, Spend Analytics and proficiency in Excel, Access, VBA and SAS

4.Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to present and translate complex information to both executive and technical partners.

5.Exceptional track record at building relationships, and partnering with internal clients on complex business problems to develop actionable recommendations

6.Strong desire and aptitude to be very hands-on with reporting, data and analytics

7.Exceptional strategic and analytical thinking with experience working in a global environment

8.Strong Team Player and customer focused
